We were without a shower from the first morning after it broke. The beds were not made, the covers simply being thrown over the wrinkled sheets, and the bathroom was not cleaned during our stay. The carpets could have done with a vacuuming. Although the furniture was relatively new and unmarked the room decor was tired and dusty.

This place is well-maintained and great for a trip, with well-priced and spacious units and fantastic, friendly staff at all times, making it a good choice for a night's stay.

Everything was perfect during 2 days, loved its ideal location near to the centre of Durham-staff and restaurant, and a traditional English pub. The folks working here were smart. They provided a wide range of outstanding choices for breakfast that was included. We had an enjoyable time.

The atmosphere here was peaceful, and we had a great time. The restaurant had fantastic service and delicious food, and we really enjoyed our drinks in the main bar.

I had a very positive stay for one night at Oyo La Spada Boutique Hotel. The hotel was fairly clean, the staff were outstandingly accommodating and the breakfast was hearty. The location in a good area was magnificent and there were shopping centers and a market nearby. The room was recently decorated and had a private bathroom. everything was good value.

Reasonably well located for Durham, breakfast good, friendly and unpretentious, old-style pub atmosphere (no loud music or obnoxious patrons -- big tick in my book).

Could not get television in my room did not work, but this did not overly worry me.

The rooms were tired. Restaurant meat was excellent but there were no vegetables/choice of potatoes offered. Bar drinks over priced.

Very enjoyable stay, I would like to go back here again.

The rooms are a nice size and well decorated with added ensuite bathrooms and the staff are attentive.
